Cinnamon Clay Ornaments

Ingredients:
  • ¾ cup cinnamon (3-ounce jar from the dollar store)
  • ½ cup applesauce, unsweetened
  • 2½ tablespoons white glue
  • Cookie cutters
  • Puffy dimensional paint
Mix applesauce and glue in a bowl using a spoon.
Slowly add the cinnamon and mix well. Remove the dough
from the bowl and knead until it feels like firm clay. Add
more cinnamon if the dough feels sticky, and more
applesauce if it feels crumbly. Let dough sit in a covered bowl for 30 min before using.

Roll dough between layers of wax paper, to 1/4 or 1/8 inch thick. Cut shapes with cookie cutters.
Use a straw or toothpick to pierce a hole at the top of each shape (for hanging). Let shapes dry on wax paper or wire rack for a couple of days (Flip them over a few times to prevent even drying).
When dry, paint with dimensional paint details (I like white), or leave plain. Hang with twine, yarn, or ribbon. You can also try molding your own shapes. THESE SMELL SO GOOD!

Kool-Aid Playdoh

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup salt
3 Tablespoons cooking oil
2 cups water
2 Pkgs. Unsweetened Kool-Aid (for color)

Mix ingredients in large bowl. Add oil and water. Stir quickly, mixing well. When cool, mix with
hands. Store in airtight container. Smells crazy good, but don't eat it!
Store in plastic bags.
Option: make 3 batches using primary color flavors: strawberry, blueberry, and Lemon. Have fun squeezing together small amounts of each to make a range of other colors.
