About Me

My photo
Diane Ronning
I haven't stopped learning since my school days growing up in California. I love animals and once I had eleven of them. As a child I always had big paper, crayons, paint, markers, scissors, and modeling clay around. Once when I needed a toy box, I covered a big cardboard box with big paper and decorated the outside with drawings. I made puppets out of socks and fabric scraps and I made sculptures with dirt and water. I also drew portraits of my classmates. When I grew up I went to college and had many jobs. I worked at a candy store, clothing store, library, movie theater, city park, summer camp, and even Taco Bell. My first art job was drawing pictures of food so the employees at the restaurant would know how to make the food and arrange it on the plate. I got to draw sandwiches and ice cream! Then I became an art teacher and for over thirty years I went to hundreds of classrooms teaching, and creating fun art activities for thousands of students.
